Results so far

So far of the 150 challenge have done:
9p SNGS - 20 played loss $44.5

Hopefully the experimenting is over and will be profitable now. Best strategy seems to be to not play speculative hands early and once down to 20 blinds play quite aggressive but only with marginally good hands at a minimum - e.g. K10 late position - and only raise 2.5* blind.

18p SNGS - 9 played profit $62
These have obviously been going well. I have found that at the final table people don't have a good idea of how important it is to make the money and do too many races. Have made the money with quite short stack a few times and still managed 1st or 2nd.
There are some real whiners on FTP. On one of them tonight I got crippled down to 400 chips early on - so a couple of hands later I call a raise of 100 (i am already BB of 40) with 78 off and when a 9 and a 10 flop I push in. I hit the Jack and the Six! Anyway the caller who had QQ (and didn't even reraise preflop) starts going on about what a fool I am. I wanted to explain to him that with 400 chips I wasn't going anywhere in the tourney and I didn't really care but I just left it.

45p SNGS - 15 played - profit $14.25
Only cashed in 2 of the 15 but fortunately won one of them. Pretty volatile and I'd rather cash more regularly without the wins but a profit is a profit I guess.
Was pretty unlucky tonight - we are in the money with 6 left I have 5000 chips and am big blind of 400. Call a raise to 1200 with Ac5c. Just me and the raiser in. Flop is a dream - 3c4h6c. I decide just to shove - I suppose I want him in so could have checked but I do just have ace hi and it's a decent pot already. He has Ace 6 and calls and I can't hit one of my 5000 outs!
This happened to me last night as well in a SNG when I had 4c5c - got an even better flop which had a 3 and 6 of clubs (can't remember the other) - the turn is a 5 - river's a blank and the other guys pocket 9s hold up. Not meaning to whine but I thought I'd be a big favourite with these draws. Maybe I should just check call with them from now one.

Oh well Thursday night and really knackered - looking forward to the weekend to get a good chance to play.
Closing roll $214.43
